Scholarship contests can give you a free ride – nice way to beat tuition. You just need to enter and, of course, be chosen to win.

Once you win, you get the cash, and another step closer to that college degree. Not a bad way to avoid a student loan, right?

3 Tips for Your Contests

Tip #1
Check when you sign up, multiple entry may be allowed. Look at the terms and conditions for each contest to see if you can enter more than once.

Tip #2
You may want a separate email address for your entries. By entering the contest, you usually consent to receive some email or even snail mail. Having a separate email address will keep the ads in a place you can review them all at once.

Tip #3
Also, if you win, you will receive notification by way of the email and street address you give when you enter, so be sure to use a real one.

And remember, any contests that award cash can help you pay your tuition if you win, just like a scholarship contest. In other words, if you find a contest that doesn’t refer to college, it may still help you to enter it.
